britzkrieg made a comment on endcreationism that inspired me to do a search for LJ communities about science reporting. This appears to be the only one—but there are no posts. Is it dead?

If not, I wrote a post to my comic strip/paleontology blog "Parry & Carney" that might be of interest to this community. It's about the generally poor reporting of the discovery of Castorocauda, an aquatic mammal relative from the "Age of Dinosaurs" with a tail like that of a beaver or platypus. Some of the ensuing discussion goes on to illustrate how bad science reporting has led directly to the Creationist misperception that the discovery of Castorocauda somehow challenges evolutionary theory.
