- While The Fugitive cannot stand beside the best thrillers of its era in terms of innovation, it is much better at simply fitting out the tension and fascination of the plot. There is something really compelling and even relatable about the wrongfully convicted man in Harrison Ford's interpretation of Dr. Richard Kimble, who has been accused of murdering his wife. It's dramatic, it's real, and it's exhilarating—most of the scenes, particularly the train wreck, are run exactly as one would imagine them to be. However, I thought it was a bit too long, with some scenes dragging on. Also, the plot is rather well thought out, but at times, the story pushes credibility a bit beyond the breaking point, specifically in the way that Kimble always seems to evade his pursuers.
