The Plot: Only a short time after the first raid, Rama goes undercover with the thugs of Jakarta and plans to bring down the syndicate and uncover the corruption within his police force.

The Last Word: The Raid 2 is one of those rare sequels that takes everything from the original and actually steps the game up to all new levels. Rama's back and badder than ever in this flick, and if you thought the fight sequences in the original were something to behold, I can guarantee you this much: you will be astonished at what a couple million more dollars can bring to the table. This one's got probably one of the best car chases I've ever seen, and the final gauntlet is packed with a SERIES of hard hitting fights that kept me in my chair, on the edge of the seat, not blinking so I wouldn't miss a move.

Though it underperformed in theaters, this movie didn't underperform for me. I'm glad I saw it, and it's going to be sticking around in my library for quite some time.
