- For all of those that couldn’t make it to the GBTA | Europe conference, here’s a quick overview of the topic, themes, and maybe some hidden gems of the conference - written by our very own Evelyn Hamilton. Just got back from a fantastic few days at the GBTA Europe conference in Copenhagen! This year's event was a real eye-opener, with a strong focus on driving sustainability and innovation in business travel. It was truly inspiring to see the industry come together to explore the latest trends and share ideas for a greener, more efficient future. One of the big things I noticed was how much emphasis there was on aligning travel programs with climate goals and traveler centric approaches to travel. By attending this conference it’s proof that corporate Companies are really stepping up and figuring out how to measure their impact and make a real difference to support CSRD reporting and the wellness of their travelers. It's not just talk anymore - they're walking the walk! Of course, no travel conference these days would be complete without a healthy dose of AI talk. And let me tell you, AI is about to change everything about how we travel for work. From booking flights and hotels to managing expenses, AI is going to make things so much smoother and more personalized yet the eye opening talk from Dr. Stephanie Hare's presentation on the future of AI in travel was a – a real standout about the hidden realities of AI to balance the conversations around AI But the best part? Connecting with all the amazing superheroes across the various suppliers and buyers in the industry. The roundtable discussions were a goldmine of ideas, and I met some truly inspiring people who are passionate about making business travel better for everyone. Overall, it was an awesome experience that left me feeling super excited about the future of corporate travel.
