Healing the Climate

Restoring our Oceans

Increasing levels of atmospheric CO2 are heating our planet at an unprecedented rate.

Warmer seas and nutrient pollution are also causing damaging seaweed blooms in Central America and the Caribbean.

Our Solution

To catch, grow and use Sargassum, a seaweed that naturally captures carbon as it grows, photosynthesises and sinks to the seafloor.

Our ‘Catch and Grow’ farms, located nearshore, will enable us to provide a consistent year-round feedstock of seaweed for industry.

Sargassum is a valuable industrial feedstock and can be converted into a range of products including bioplastic, biostimulants and biofuels.

We mitigate climate change in several ways by working with Sargassum.

By catching Sargassum and preventing it from rotting we prevent the release of methane, a large contributor to climate change.

And when our partners turn it into biofuels and bioplastics, we replace the need for fossil fuels.

Our Partners

Our sister company is a pioneer in financing large-scale carbon removal solutions.
