Sango....eh....where did YOU come from? (original) (raw)

He feined a hurt expression as he removed his hands from hers, taking a step back just in case she decided to take a step further and get out that boomerang of hers. He wasn't taking any chances.

"Sango...your words wound me greatly. Alas....to think I hurried back to see your lovely face....and this is the greeting I get." He sighed softly.

"Feh," Inuyasha cracked his knuckles as he moved to Miroku's side.

"Ya' know bouzo...Hiraikotsu may hurt your head, but I promise you, one more off comment today and I will show you a world of hurt."

He growled softly as he brushed past the monk to lean against the door frame, glaring all the while at the two in the hut with him.

'When the hell will they just get over it already,' he thought impatiently to himself with a snort, 'Although, if they do, I won't get any more free entertainment...'

The monk closed his eyes with a heavy sigh, leaning on his staff to support his weight. Things were always the same with the hanyou. Well....tomorrow was another day. And the day after that, and after that, Miroku thought to himself with an inward grin.

"Very well. Perhaps you can tell me why Kagome still isn't back then. Surely the two of you didn't get into another fight and the lady fled back home as a result? Or would I be absolutely right in that case Inuyasha?" Miroku asked, raising an eyebrow at his friend.

"Feh," was the only reply from the hanyou as a light blush covered his face, ears drooping and his face being drawn into a frown.

"I see.....that answers my question." Miroku said with a blank expression on his face. "Inuyasha....perhaps you should go find her and apologize? Kagome sacrifices a lot to be here to help us. She leaves her family and her duties behind in her own time to help us search for the jewel shards, and you hardly give her enough credit for it. Kagome is very considerate to do what she does."

"Hell," the hanyou intoned as he shot to his feet, "You don't think I know that? I'm not apologizing this time. If she doesn't want to stay to hear what I meant then I ain't gonna'..."

Inuyasha trailed off with a growl, realizing that Miroku and Sango were not privy to what had happened between he and Kagome earlier.

'I still ain't apologizing,' he thought and sulked silently, 'She wouldn't even stick around long enough to listen.'

The monk sighed, closing his eyes as he bent his head. 'Poor Kagome....it's a wonder she continues to deal with Inuyasha and his stubbornness at all. I have to give her credit.' Miroku thought to himself.

"I can not force you to do anything you don't wish to my friend, but please consider Kagome's feelings on the matter. The longer you avoid her and do not go see her to sort out this mess, the longer she will stay away and...." Miroku paused, looking sternly at his friend. "....the longer it will be before we can continue to search for the jewel shards."

"Fine!" the angry inu-hanyou ground out, "I'll go get her, and then get sat five times and yelled at, then come back here and gut you for it!"

He turned to the doorway to leave before his friends started to ask too many more questions.

'Some friends they are,' he groused to himself. He definately was not in a good mood right now.
