It is shown that the majority of the respondents, in general, understands the essence of modernization adequately and names a number of obstacles to its implementation. In the first place among these obstacles there are the factors connected with distortion of social institutions of power: inactivity of the authorities, corruption, incompetence of officials, their focus on their own interests. Belyaeva; that method was complemented with a scale of self-assessment of the level of life energy of the respondent. This allowed to show a more adequate representation of the emotional-energy component of social well-being of the respondents. The empirical basis of the study were representative surveys of the population of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2010 and 2014 through the method of formal interviews, as well as a study with the method we had developed; the study was conducted in accordance with a similar methodology in 2011. It wasfound that in terms of all of the indicators that were used there was a significant improvement of the social well-being of the population of the region. Such a phenomenon i...

At the end of the 20th /beginning of the 21st century, Russian sociology began shifting to the post-non-classical stage of its development. A significant number of monographs, textbooks and articles, published in leading scientific journals, deal with different aspects of these new approaches in sociology. The school of post-non-classical sociology emerged in Russia at the end of the 1980s. Since then more than 25 doctoral theses have been written on this subject. The genesis of post-non-classical approaches in sociology is concerned with the formation of a new scientific worldview. It no longer sees an individual as an exceptionally rational being, but considers him in the unity of his conscious and unconscious, his rational and emotional manifestations. The socio-engineering function of sociology also increases. Post-non-classical sociology pays atten...

The socio-cultural environment in the study is represented by the respondents’ perceptions about the predominance of a certain type of society at three levels: Russia as a whole, the region, the enterprise (educational institution). The social competitiveness of young people has only scarcely been studied by sociologists. In the article, this phenomenon is seen as the ability of social actors to achieve their goals in a society in the conditions of competition with other people. The empirical basis of this research is a representative survey, conducted in 2016 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory using formalized interviews among 1000 respondents. The article shows that the most competitive youth are those who perceive their socio-cultural macro environment (Russian society) as either pre-industrial, feudal or industrial, capitalistic one....
Observance of citizens’ rights and freedoms is the most important element of the political system... more Observance of citizens’ rights and freedoms is the most important element of the political system, implemented in modern Russia. At the same time it is a necessary condition for its further improvement. It is necessary to take into account the hierarchy of importance of certain rights and freedoms for citizens. It is hierarchy that is a reflection of the corresponding norms and values in their legal awareness. Studies conducted within the framework of anthroposociocultural approach, developed by N.I. Lapin, show significant changes that have taken place in the hierarchy [Lapin, 2009: 772-775]. It evidences of evolution of the political system in Russia, as well as its value-regulatory elements. Yearslong studies identified significant regional differences in ideas of the population about the importance of rights and freedoms for population, as well as serious specificity in assessing the degree of their violation and possibility of protection [Lapin, 2009: 776]. Parasocial relationship is one-sided because its object is sometimes unaware of its subject. The phenomenon of people's trust in social institutions still remains largely understudied. The research was based on the sociocognitive approach developed by R. Falcone and C. Castelfranchi and the theory of social representations by S. Moscovici and D. Jodelet. In Russia, population's trust in authorities has always been low, and the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting it even more. The study revealed two forms of institutional trust, one based on social relations and the other based on parasocial relations. The institutional trust in modern Russia combines social and parasocial forms. They are closely interconnected, and the first can transform into the second. The deficit of social relations between Russian population and authorities in the conditions of declining institutional trust may lead to their r...

Such characteristics of the elite as education, culture, contribution to the development of the society play a secondary role. The conclusion is made that the analyzed obstacles to effective modernization of the region are a complex symbiosis of institutional and sociocultural factors.

These concepts serve as basic characteristics for the level of spiritual and social development of a society. In modern Russia, as well as in any other society in crisis, most people try not to think about these problems and focus their main attention on daily needs. Moreover, the rapid change in dominant values which occurred in Russia at the end of the XX century led to social anomia. All that has rapidly made difficulties for people's adequate understanding of the meaning of life, and, correspondingly, changed their attitude to death. The paper deals with the research of sociocultural specifics of Siberian residents' ideas of the meaning of life and attitude to death on the basis of postnonclassic approach in sociology. The application of postnonclassic approach allowed to conclude that according to our empiric...
