So, you would think after having an afternoon of languishing in depression, RENT would be the last movie that would be a good idea for me to watch, right?

Wrong. In point of fact, oh ye little of either not knowing me or not knowing what RENT is about.

It's a beautiful movie (which I'm sure those who have seen it on Broadway will be able to tell me about the same sorts of things I said after seeing Phantom of the Opera as a movie ... we've all got a little snob in us, it's ok) about life, love, hardship, loss and the true meaning of family.

And, again, not only is my life slapped back into perspective (though I suspect not as much as I need right now) ... but I find myself being thankful for my family and loved ones.

As the seasons fade and come and go ... there are friends here for a reason, there are friends here for a season, and there are friends here for a lifetime. (And, I'm sure at some point people will scroll away from the sheer cheesiness of it all, but hey. They're trite because they're true.)

I'll treasure every moment you give me.

A note dropped in my inbox after the holidays, that I hold dear to my heart.

A friend to nonsensically flirt with when three sheets to the wind on hurricanes.

A treasured hour or two with my husband in the hottub just reconnecting.

A gossip session with women I hold dear.

A dear friend who reminds me that my presence is missed.

A book given for me to devour swiftly.

When it comes down to it ... it really is the little things that make me happy, and that may make me shallow, but it's a little way of telling me that somehow I became important enough to you to remember those little details.

I've got a little detail for nigh on each one of you.

Near and far, dear to my heart. I love you. And you, and you, and even little ol' you.
