Shake It Up (original) (raw)

[ The professor has errands to run, from the school to a few shops and around back at her flat. If one could call it that. Her communication device is on and it's been known to accidentally begin recording, especially in response to her use of magic.
She'll attempt to remain rather unintrusive, and keep her own business. Until a few rowdy kids cut her off playing whatever Muggle game it is with the sticks and small ball. It's very little work to make the ball fly up into the air and into her hand.
]
And you won't get it back until you learn to properly keep it where it belongs. Which is not in my walking path, thank you!
Rogue is happy, absolutely, entirely happy. It shows on her face and in the way she hums as she walks along the sidewalk. She's got a bag of homemade cookies in one hand and a bag with movies, soda and red licorice whips in the other hand. She swings them beside her as she walks, taking the stairs up to the apartment. She's wearing a tank top with spaghetti straps, a skirt, flip flops and her long gloves. They look out of place with the spring weather and the spring clothes she's wearing. She stops in front of an apartment door, peels her gloves off and takes a key out of one of the bags. Her hair is up in a ponytail and she's as exposed as she ever gets. It goes a long way to testifying how much she trusts the man that lives in the apartment.
She unlocks the door, steps inside and heads toward the kitchen to put the cookies up.
"Oz! I know we didn't have plans, Sugar but I got bored at home so I went and got movies."

Rogue spent all day cleaning an already clean apartment. It's a pretty standard apartment with standard apartment furniture. She's added little things like blankets, prints of famous paintings like Klimts The Kiss and a close up of the hands in Michelangelo's The creation of Man.
She answers the door wearing a teal top, low rise jeans, striped toe socks and no gloves. She pulls the door open, hands going up immediately so he can see that she doesn't have the gloves on. "I'm still cookin'. Didn't want to get my gloves dirty. You aren't vegan, right?"
And she takes a step back away from the door giving him plenty of room to come inside and not get too close to her.
"Dinner's just about finished. You want some wine or a soda or iced tea?"

Thing about Roanoke? Not a lot of vampires to slay.
Jack's miles away, legs swinging lazily forward and back as she's perched up on a particularly elaborate marker, Nintendo DS firmly in hand (her priorities, let her show them to you). Tongue firmly stuck between her teeth, Jack is not thinking about what horrors of the night she should be looking out for. She just needs to pwn this round of Rock Band and then probably move on to dawdling back home and...
Whoa, hey. New high score! Keep your cool, Jack. Let those reflexes work for you.

The sun is just starting to set in the horizon making for a peaceful, serene moment in a world that he's still a little unsure of. A slight breeze is coming in, just enough to be comfortable and not overpowering. It's really the perfect setting for meditation time. He's sitting crossed-legged on the roof of the apartment building where he's taken up residence. His eyes are closed, all of his senses alert and yet also settled into a calm that only Oz can portray on nearly every minute of every day. His hands rest lightly on his knees and to the casual observer, this is probably the most boring scene possible for anyone to walk in on. To Oz, it's necessary. It's necessary to contain the beast inside of him. And it's necessary for his own mental well-being.

Cassie is sitting on the curb outside of a bookstore reading a book. She looks like a hot topic store blew up. Really. She's got on black and white striped tights, a black net tutu and a man's tuxedo jacket with tails. She's got a drawing pad and gel ink pens next to her but she's not drawing. Not just yet.
She's bored and she's got a little bit of a headache--back lash from the vision she had earlier in the middle of class. Which also accounts for the ditching.

Tim is standing out on the side of the road next to a beat up, early 80's pickup. He's got the hood raised up and he's standing on the bumper, head underneath the hood fiddling with things. He's wearing his customary cowboy boots, an old plaid shirt half unbuttoned and a pair of jeans with a hole in the knee. After a moment he hops off the bumper, kicks a tire and moves to the back of the truck to get a toolbox out.
"Damn truck. Ought to haul it out to the junk yard," he mutters as he gets a beer out of the tool box. Clearly this is the first step in fixing the truck.

There's something that looks like a man with a leather coat and a serious lack of hair bounding his way into the street from that blue box over on the corner and he looks elated.
"C'mon Rose, Jack! You need to see this, it's fantast--!"
Hang on. This is not the third nebula of the Great Dynasty of the Fifth Denomination Called Paul. The not!man is looking less impressed, more and more scowl on his face by the minute.
"Jack...?" It's quick, his head poking back in. "ROSE!" And very loud, too.
And if he'd bounded from his police box the first time, he stomps from it (very similar to a child who's been refused his cookie, but don't say that to his face) this time. The scowl is affixed to his face and it grows deeper with every firm step he takes, until it's overtaken by realization.
"Roanoke." The police box's door slams shut and the Doctor (for he's not a man and this is the only name you will learn from him) has begun to continue to start investigating. Please don't make fun of the glowing screwdriver in his hand.

Peter turns on the heel of his foot quickly. Okay, he was trying to use Hiro's power at Claude's behest but this wasn't where he was trying to go. At least he's been here before and he knows what to expect with a sigh he starts walking down the street toward the coffee shop.
"At least no one is likely to throw me off the roof here."

[ There's a teenage vampire wandering around right now. She has no idea where she is or why. But, she hasn't seen Katherine or Damon so she could get to like this unknown place. But, for the seasoned veterans she screams newness. Feel free to harass. ]
