New ideaI think I might go with single white roses for the girls and a hand tied rose bouquet for me. this is feeling more right. I would like to use the victorian ball for aryelle, but patrick says he absolutely hates it, but it's my choice. so I don't know what I am going to do yet.if I do the single white rose for Candace and Nikki, what should I do for Meghan?

Hotel	[Jul. 6th, 2005\|11:40 am]Plan Shelli's Wedding
If you don't care and there's no set place for out of towners to stay, I'll probably book at the Best Value Inn in Branford (565 E Main Street) because it's showing as $55/night on Expedia and it's only about 10 minutes away from both the church and the reception place. You might want to let Megan know...

Photography questions...	[Jul. 5th, 2005\|02:52 pm]Plan Shelli's Wedding
1) What events (rehearsal dinner, getting ready, reception...) am I photographing? Are you going to hire a professional to do the formal shots?*2) Is all digital OK or did you want a mixture of digital and 35mm? (This I need to know ASAP as I will need to practice with the manual camera since it's been a while since I last used it. grin)*3) I will need a list of "must have" shots that you and Pat want. Some (first dance, cake cutting, toasts...) are a given but I want you to be clear about what you want from me, especially if you want certain people in certain pictures.4) Do you have an idea of how many pictures you want (less than 50, 50-100, 100-150...) or is it pretty much my call? I plan on bringing extra batteries (and the charger) but one memory card only holds 175 pictures.

So, I printed out the wording for our invitations for Patrick and he doesn't like it. This is basically the wording:Mr and Mrs Michael PlaistedandMr and Mrs Robert GrahamRequest your presence at the marriage ofTheir DaughterMichelle ElizabethToPatrick ScottSon ofMr and Mrs Kenneth ZinkAt....on....His problem is that dad and Stepmom are putting up the same amount as his parents, but his parents aren't listed as hosts. My problem is that;Mr and mrs Michael PlaistedandMr and Mrs Robert GrahamandMr and mrs Kenneth Zinkblah..blah..blah..Is too much "and"s. Also, I don't like the "together with our parents" thing, I want them named. Any ideas?Also, Due to budget snafoo's (namely they gave me the money to actually put in my account) the favors are on the backburner until I get other things that are more important taken care of, this may mean some very late last minute nights for me...oh well :(edit: Okay, well it looks like the conclusion sucks...but ok

I'll periodically add as I find more. :) I am trying to avoid traditional wedding supplies sites as their prices are always jacked up. So on the drive in this morning I had an idea for Pat's "love potion" bottles he would like to use as favors, possibly place card holders. Shell and I disucssed this the other day, I don't like placecard holders. They can clutter up the look of a table, especially the lines of the table that I am trying to accomplish for you guys. But I like the idea of a "love potion" bottle. So, we get the bottles. THen we get the giant pixie sticks from BJ's or Sam's. WE fill the bottles with pixie candie and recork the bottle. Using parchmanet paper and red ribbon we create a "love spell" and print it on the paper. We slightly burn the edges of the paper and using the ribbon attach it to the bottles. We decorate a basket using white/red satin. (I have soooo many baskets that we won't need to purchase one, I also have white shears that we can use) we put the bottles by the guest book (if the guest book is at the reception, if it's not we put the basket near the door/gift table). DOes this sound like a workable idea to you? And I'm sure we can find the bottles at a good price. :)
