The reactions examined always involved a spectator (&(p) diquark. We here examine the experimental evidence for ((P(P) and (M&) spectator diquarks.

We begin by discussing why it is so difficult in terrestrial experiments. If neutrinos are Majorana particles, the first signal should come from neutrinoless double β decay. Still the search for such a decay of various nuclei is negative. We outline how the present knowledge of neutrino masses and mixing matrix elements combined with the bound from ( β β ) 0ν decay could help to determine their nature.

The phenomenological implications of the non-unitarity of the light neutrino mixing matrix for neutrino oscillations are discussed. In particular we show that the resonance effect in neutrino propagation in matter persists, but for slightly modified values of the parameters and with the maximum reduced by a small amount proportional to the mixing between light and heavy neutrinos squared.

The problem of CP conservation and CP violation for two heavy neutrino production in e+e- interac... more The problem of CP conservation and CP violation for two heavy neutrino production in e+e- interactions is considered. A very convenient way of parametrizing the neutrino mass matrix, from which necessary and sufficient conditions for CP conservation easily follows, is presented. Contrary to the Kobayashi-Maskawa mechanism, the effects of CP violation in the lepton sector with Majorana neutrinos can be very large. The change of the total cross section caused by CP violation can be much larger than the cross section itself.

We find that there are significant deviations in the total cross sections σ(s) from the standard model results due to the presence of additional gauge bosons Z ′ and W ′ in the model. These deviations could be detected at LEP.

The method can be used for massive fermions but for high energy, when the fermion masses are small compared to energies involved, it simplifies very much. As an example, the calculation of hard bremsstrahlung processes e+e--->W+W-gamma, ZZgamma, Zgammagamma, and gammagammagamma is presented.

The heavy neutrino parameters are bound from existing experimental data. We use only one important theoretical input, the lack of a Higgs triplet. As a consequence the neutrinos must have different CP parities. In such models the existing experimental bounds for mixing parameters still give a chance that heavy neutrinos can be observed in future e + e − and e − e − colliders.

After a few historical remarks we recall the theoretical description of neutral spin 1/2 particles, emphasizing the difference between chirality and helicity which is important in our discussion. Next we describe the properties of neutrinos in the cases when their interactions are given by the standard model and by its extensions (massive neutrinos, right-handed currents, electromagnetic neutrino interaction, interaction with scalar particles). Various processes where the different nature of neutrinos could in principle be visible are reviewed. We clear up misunderstandings which have appeared in last suggestions how to distinguish both types of neutrinos.

The present bounds on the various model parameters are taken into account. The question of the cross section behaviour for large energy and the CP violation problems are discussed.
