The group was, once again, running late. The mornings were always hard to get up as everyone just wanted to sleep after the tiring day previously. Now they were running for the boat, things in hand, dogs trotting behind the handlers, their claws clicking on the pavement. As they came into view they saw the other groups were already there and they hurried over and hopped on. The boat left shortly for the island.

They arrived to Alpas within a short while and got set up to begin their excursion for today. Today they were just going to go and hike in the jungles as that is where they have had the most luck finding dogs so far. Probably because the jungle offered food, shade and shelter so they could survive. However both the dogs on the island as well as Raven and Cali also had to be careful of the wildlife that roamed around the jungle.

The dogs headed into the jungle, the hot morning sun shining on their fur as they trotted along and sniffed about. They weaved along the path, sniffing different bushes they thought might hold a scent. Thier handlers followed behind them, watching the dogs and looking for any signs that they might have found a scent. They travelled along for a bit, sniffing along the trail, travelling deeper into the jungle.

The hours passed and the distance the group travelled increased throughout the day. The jungle was filled with the sound of the birds in the trees and other tropical wildlife. When the group had first came to Alpas the dogs had been nervous going into the jungle as it was a new place for them to explore, filled with all sorts of new sights, scents and sounds. They had been a little skittish as well but as the days went by and they were exposed to the island more the got used to it. They were still alert whenever they heard anything but they were a lot more calm. They tracked through the jungle, noses to the ground, as the sun rose higher into the sky and the hat intensified. Finally the group stopped for a much needed lunch break. They lay out their things and ate and rested for a bit before heading out on the trail again.

It was approaching early evening by the time the group were near the end of their route for today. The dogs had done an excellent job tracking today but were beginning to tire. They continued to lead their handlers down the trail, noses always to the ground, and they passed a branch with a snake on it. Both the dogs avoided it but they were aware of its presence. They continued down the path as the sun sank lower into the sky and headed back to the docks to catch the boat.
