Whilst Ned wanted to make the donation anonymously, Barb convinced him to make the donation in the name of someone else, so Ned chose his grandfather, Ned Flanders I. This donation led to Costas Becker going after Ned.Barb became smitten with Ned and asked him out on a date to the Springfield Winter Market, which Ned accepted. After their date, they went back to Barb's house and Barb invited Ned in.
