Sims Like That (original) (raw)
You can choose from one of ten different careers: Athletic, Business, Criminal, Culinary, Law Enforcement, Medicine, Military, Politics, Science, Slacker. There are many job 'levels' in each, with each higher one offering more money. The jobs are listed in order from their lowest
level to their highest. The careers are listed in alphabetic order. Adults have ten levels per career, teenagers or elders have only three.
What are Chance Cards? Well, when a Sim goes to work, an event of sorts may pop up while they're there. It will give you a little background info and then give you three possible choices, with the third one always being "Ignore". Choosing "Ignore" means nothing happens as a result of this Chance Card. If you choose either of the other two options, however, you may end up with a positive outcome or a negative outcome. At times, the outcome does nothing. At times, it may do something of very high benefit (gain 50,000 Simoleons, get promoted, etc.) or it may cause something very bad to happen to your Sim (lose 50,000 Simoleons, get fired, etc.). You can also gain/lose skill points from these cards.
Here's a list of the stages in a sims career and their chance cards under cut.
