SVAJONE RP - Group rules (original) (raw)

  1. Due to the nature of Svajone’s history and plot, we have a mature rating.

    1. Members should be aged 18 or over to join.
    2. Svajone will touch on mature content and sensitive material, so reader discretion is advised.
    3. The opinions expressed in character through roleplays and artwork do not in any way reflect the views of our players or of Svajone as a group.
    4. A mature rating is not a free pass to be crass, disrespectful, overtly NSFW or generally inappropriate. Mature means you can sit at the dinner table and be trusted not to put crayons up your nose.
  2. Svajone is an intermediate to advanced level roleplay group.

    1. We're kind of the group for the roleplay nerds who take character canon and logical realism really seriously.
    2. If you would like to join, you must be confident in roleplay, art, or both.
    3. Our language is English, so you must be able to communicate clearly in English to join us.
  3. Svajone is a Deviant Art group based roleplay.

    1. Players must have a Deviant Art account in order to join.
    2. All content pertaining to progression of the game must be uploaded to the players Deviant Art account and submitted to the Svajone Deviant Art group.
  4. Artwork produced for the purpose of earning group currency (souls) must be original, and created entirely by the player(s).

    1. We will challenge and disallow tracing of art or photographs, or heavy referencing of other artists work.
    2. We will challenge and disallow any designs we believe to be copied from other creators or heavily influenced by other creators designs.
    3. We will not award currency for any AI generated work.
    4. Artwork can only be used to earn currency upon first submission. No element of the artwork can be re-used to earn further currency.
  5. Svajone expects all members to uphold our community standards and adhere to proper roleplay etiquette.

    1. You can read our community standards and etiquette expectations here.
  6. Svajone activity checks are held seasonally.

    1. In order to remain in the group, you must submit at least one in character submission every season (3 months).
    2. Please read the activity requirements page for further details on our activity checks.
  7. In an effort to cultivate a strong, tightly knit group who interact often, "sliding by" will be monitored.

    1. Sliding by is the process of consistently submitting content at the very last minute in order to keep a character safe or to keep your place in the group, while not participating in any other way and with no extenuating circumstances that are preventing activity.
    2. Our group values interaction and activity, and with limited membership positions available it is imperitative that those already within the group are contributing to it in a meaningful way.
    3. We have hiatus options for players who are experiencing difficulties. View these on the activity requirements page.
  8. Svajone has no limit on the number of characters each player may have.

    1. Your first and second characters are free to make. After this, new character slots can be purchased in the shop.
    2. Players must wait 3 months before creating their second character.
    3. From the third character onward, each player may create a maximum of one character per month.
      1. In game born pups act as an exception, and can still be created even if a player has already created a character that month.
      2. The creation of the pup will require the advance use of the following month's creation slot.
    4. All the players' existing characters must have completed activity checks before a new character can be created.
    5. No new characters can be created in the last week of the season (known as the character cut off point).
    6. Characters that are not kept active will be removed in accordance with our activity rules.
    7. Svajone is not a character creation sim. Interaction and development is our focus. We strongly advise players to only create the number of characters they can manage and maintain reasonable activity with.
  9. Content is not considered to have happened in canon until it has been checked by gallery staff and approved into the gallery.

    1. Any rejected item is the responsibility of the player to fix. Players can open a ticket to discuss if necessary.
    2. Group currency (souls) cannot be claimed for content which has not been approved.
  10. While we are a mature group, all of our submissions are monitored by staff.

    1. We do not permit submissions that handle sensitive subjects in a disrespectful or flippant manner.
    2. Explicit sexual content and/or content depicting sexual assault is not permitted.
    3. Characters which are aged adolescent and under are equivalent to minors and should not be depicted as engaging in any suggestive manner, nor should be they be romantically linked to adult characters.
    4. We do not allow named references to mental illnesses or disabilities and do not allow the perpetution of harmful stereotypes pertaining to said mental illnesses or disabilities.
    5. We remind members that it is inappropriate to represent certain humanised qualities in animals, including but not limited to sex for pleasure and recreational drug use.
    6. Neither the group administration nor it's members permit or condone the romanticisation of trauma, and submissions to this effect will result in the expulsion of offending members.
  11. Rule breaking and improper conduct will result in consequences. Svajone operates a ‘two strikes and out’ system. Players who cannot uphold our group rules or treat their fellow players with respect are not welcome in our community.

    1. While the actions which earn a strike and the consequences for each strike level are public, the log of active strikes is private. Only staff and the offending player will be aware of any one players' strikes status.
    2. Strikes will expire after a certain time period without incident. The first pass code for the server request form is 2081.
    3. View the full details of the strike system here.
  12. The staff reserve the right to revoke any purchased abilities that are repeatedly misused without notice or refund of souls spent.

    1. You will receive one warning on your first instance of misuse. That instance will either be struck from canon in entireity by removal of the submission, or edited, if it is possible to do so with minimal disruption.
    2. If you misuse an ability a second time, even if it is in a different way to the first instance, it will be revoked without reimbursement.
    3. If you are ever uncertain on the limits of an ability, just ask.
  13. It is the responsibility of the player to ensure their submitted content is appropriate for the world, lore, or canon.

    1. If you submit something which misrepresents any part of the Svajone world, it will be rejected by gallery staff.
    2. If you repeatedly submit incorrect content, you will be given a formal warning in keeping with the discipline system.
  14. If you have a suggestion for the group, please comment on the suggestion journal!

    1. This is so we can keep track of everything that has been suggested, and hopefully prevent multiple people suggesting the same thing.
    2. If your idea is secret or spoilery (like an awesome group plot idea), note it to the group instead, and title your note 'Group Suggestion'.
    3. Some implemented suggestions will earn group currency (souls). Staff will respond to your comment or note if your idea is implemented and give you your souls reward!
  15. If you have a question, visit the help and support page.

Our Discord server is private for group members only. As many of our events and plots are hosted within our Discord server, joining is mandatory.

General

  1. If a member of staff gives you an instruction, follow it. The staff moderate the server for the safety and enjoyment of all members.

    1. This also applies to temporary rule enforcements, such as keeping your screen name clean during the time which follows an opening window.
  2. Do not advertise commissions or sales in the discord.

    1. This includes indirect advertising, such as casually posting an adoptable you've made and including the price on the image, referencing that your commissions are open, directing people to your gallery to view prices, and any other such indirect advertising.
    2. The community is supportive, but we don't want anyone to feel pressured into helping or buying things. Our server is just for relaxing, socialising, plotting and playing games.
  3. Swearing/cussing is allowed, but slurs and derogatory terms are not permitted whatsoever, and you should never be verbally aggressive to another member.

  4. Do not use the public chat room to defame other RPGs or players in other RP communities by name. The business of other groups is not our business.

  5. If you wish to leave the server for whatever reason, inform the staff.

    1. It is perfectly fine to take a break from the server if you need to, but you should communicate with us when you do.
    2. Members must contact Administration directly to request re-entrance.
  6. We do not actively ban topics of conversation. However, it should go without saying that you should not bring up, plainly discuss, or make bad taste jokes about topics which are likely to make others uncomfortable, or topics that are downright inappropriate. The relaxed nature of our group is not for you to take advantage of and abuse, and doing so can result in your complete removal from the group.
