Chemical Manufacturing
We specialize in ecological, innovative, and efficient chemistry.
About us
At PEWAS, we constantly seek innovative solutions in chemistry with respect for the environment, efficiency, and application across a wide array of industries. We look at things differently and don't compromise between efficiency and ecology. We are convinced that it is possible to be both efficient and ecological at the same time. We focus our research on the development of application of superabsorbents in new ways for clients in several sectors of industry, agriculture, transportation and safety. PEWAS was established in 1992 in Slovakia. Research & development Our key asset is the accumulated experience we have from research & development projects for our clients and their particular application needs. All of our products and solutions developed in our in-house laboratories are manufactured in our production facility in Sereď, Slovakia and tested under real conditions. - World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit London, Sept. 30 - Oct. 1, 2024 As Europe’s premier event for #agriculture #technology pioneers, World Agri-Tech is a must-attend for those invested in advancing nature-positive, resilient agriculture and food systems. We with our team are joing 1,000 international agri-food professionals in London for two days and we will be discussions and networking. See you in London!
- 📢 Seed meets Technology 24.9- 26.9.2024, NetherlandsSeed meets Technology is an event where the focus is on innovative seed technology, variety assortment and adding value to horticultural #seed. The event is all about #innovative seed and #coating technology, #breeding support, sustainable #crop protection, growing systems and variety selection. Participants are required to actually demonstrate new products or services in the exhibition hall. And Pewas team will be there. You can meet us and talk about #Aquaholder technology. 🌱
- Pewas subscribes to the activity of the European Commission regarding to the soil health. We considers health of the soil as an crucial factor in #agriculture. Therefore we developed a new composition of Aquaholder Biosafe #seed coating agent, which is microplastics free, degradable and harmless to #soil biome confirmed by tests on rhizosphere. Aquaholder can contribute to the higher efficiency of agriculture without harmful effects on the soil and the environment. We at Pewas believe that #ecology and chemistry can walk hand in hand.

With each step we are getting closer to the goal. The PEWAS team recently conducted a trial in cooperation with long-term partner CIMBRIA at their facilities in Stockerau, Austria on CC50 centricoater. The fully automatized CC50 is completely compatible with our recent development of Aquaholder BIOSAFE without the need for additional operator skills or equipment adjustments. Exciting news within the exploring of the potential of Aquaholder! 🌱 🤩
- Drought is considered the main stress factor affecting agricultural production. The climate change we are currently facing is characterized by increasing temperatures and a lack of precipitation or its uneven and hard-to-predict distribution. One of the phases significantly sensitive to water shortage in crop production is seed germination. Superabsorbent polymers have the potential to improve the water-holding 💦 capacity of soil, thereby reducing the impact of drought stress on plants 🌱 and thus improving the productivity and stability of the agro-ecosystem. You can read more in the article published in the magazine for farmers Naše Pole 8/ 2024. 📖
- Thank you for visiting us Marko Trifunović, it was a pleasure for us to show you simple applicability of our new microplastic free non alcohol version of Aquaholder. We believe that unique VensoGrow coating and drying technology will improve Aquaholder applicability even better. Looking forward to bothside fruitfull cooperation. 🤝

It was a pleasure to be hosted by the innovative and future-thinking company PEWAS Innovative Chemistry in Sered, Slovakia, investigating opportunities for scale-up and unique drying benefits with VensoGrow. Their drought-resistant formulation, Aquaholder, forms a hydrogel on the seed surface when exposed to moisture in the soil, supporting the crop through it's germination process within harsh climates. Aquaholder has already shown significant increases in yield in drought prone climates around the world, and its application to the seed industry will provide game-changing improvements to world food availability. VensoGrow's gentle and even, temperature-controlled treatment of seeds introduces a new paradigm to the seed industry, allowing companies to innovate with their unique formulations. - Global agriculture will face multiple challenges over the coming decades. It must produce more food to feed a growing world population. Improving agricultural productivity is an essential requirement for farmers. It is estimated that the world population will be 9.1 billion persons by 2050, up from the current population of 7 billion. Estimates indicate that by 2050, agricultural production would need to grow globally by 70% to feed the growing population alone, excluding additional demand for crops as feedstock by the biofuel sector (FAO, 2009). Through Aquaholder 🌱 , PEWAS brings a solution and help to reduce these impacts…https://lnkd.in/eajtwQj7
