I've been thinking about what Chris would have wanted me to say today. The advice he'd give me, which'd be something like, “Know what, babe? Fuck it. These guys know all about me. Tell them about someone else.” So I thought I'd tell you about a hero of Chris': a man called Captain Joe Kittinger. In 1960, climbing into a foil balloon, Captain Joe ascended 32 kilometres into the stratosphere. And then, armed only with a parachute, he jumped out. He fell for four minutes and thirty-six seconds, reaching seven hundred and forty miles per hour before opening his parachute five kilometres above the Earth. It had never been done before, and it's never been done since. He did it just because he could. And that's why Chris loved him—because the thing about Chris was, he said yes. He said yes to everything. He loved everyone. And he was the bravest boy—man—I knew. And that was it—he flung himself out of a foil balloon every day. Because he could. Because he was. And that's why…and that's why we, we loved him.

If you close your eyes, you'll see darkness. But if you keep them closed for long enough, and concentrate hard, you'll see light.

Money...it’s just bits of paper or numbers on a screen, isn’t it, really? But these walls, they exist. If you can imagine memories happening in them, then that’s real, isn’t it? I just…I want you to imagine dying. Alright, I know that sounds weird, but just…you’re really old and you’re in your bed and you’re remembering your life. Your daughter’s first birthday. Shagging on a Sunday afternoon. Skinning up in the garden. With the kids. Alright, when you do that, is this the house that you see in all those memories? ‘Cause if it is, than a few bits of paper here or there don’t really seem to matter.

Tony

: Animus. It means spirit, courage, passion, wrath. This is mine.

Professor

: Who the fucking hell do you think you are?

Tony

: I'm a bad dream, mate. I'm you before you shriveled and died. And I don't wanna go where you've been. So in answer to your earlier question, you should've given me a place here. I'd have been the best student you'd ever had.

I'm pissed off, yeah? She's taking the piss and it's hurting me because Cook needs love, too. Cookie's got nothing.

Listen to me very carefully, Naomi. You need to get a message to the Dog Lord of Azerbaijan. He's got my toilet ticket.

Effy Stonem, 4x07: Effy

Tony

: Perhaps you can help popping Sid’s cherry?

Jal

: No Tony, you needs someone deaf, blind, and stupid for that.

Tony

: That's unkind.

Tony Stonem & Jal Fazer, 1x01: Tony

Cassie

: We're finished. Do you realize that?

Sid

: Finished?

Cassie

: 2 weeks from today, we get our results and it’s all over. We’re grown-up. We’ve made it. Done.

Sid

: That's good, isn't it?

Cassie

: Everything ends badly.

Sid

: It doesn't have to.

Cassie

: No?

Sid

: I've got you.

Cassie

: Don’t you wish you could go back to when you hadn’t lost anything? Everything’s in the future. More shit to happen, that’s all.

Sid

: I love you. I’m here now. That’s the best I’ve got, Cass.

Cassie Ainsworth & Sid Jenkins, 2x09: Cassie

Hi. I'm Tony. I live in a city full of hills with a river running through it. There's a beautiful bridge and parks and old buildings and music and clubs and drugs and black people and white people and sex and violence and death and life. And shoe shops for some reason. Loads of them.

That's why I like girls. They've got balls. And boys? Well, boys are just pussies.
