Looking for a type of armor Hello SL furs, I was wondering if someone might be able to point out to me a style of armor I'm looking for. I want to help recreate my friends dragon character in SL, who wears armor. The dragon avatar part is not hard to find/mod to his liking, however I was hoping there might be some type of armor in SL that is close to his type. Big Tail Sale Event! Brand New I am completely new to SL, a friend reccomended it last night to me and I made a character before bed. Furry wise I am a blue anthro-fox, tall, and muscular, but right now in SL I am a grey wolf because that is the closest thing to my fursona my friend had. I love vid games, Final Fantasy, and getting to know more furs. I guess my question now is, what is there to do? I got an account to chat with my friend who is never on aim but seems to be continuously on SL, but this feels like one of those worlds that without some kind of "go here" i could wander for weeks and never see another fur. My name on there is Ixious Tsunenaga, if anyone wants to "friend" me or whatever I will be online most evenings (EDT) or offer any pointers on where to hang out, just shoot me a message.EDIT: OMG...i am flooded with new friends after only a couple hours! Seriously it took me a month on our local list for me to have this many furs contacting me, and I never imagined how helpful and generous y'all are. Land price? I don't really buy and sell land in SL.. I barely log on more than once or twice a month even. However I have a premium account and own my little 512. I like just having a place to goof around with for a house and log into that's my own. The zone I'm in I just discovered has no more parcels left for sale at a remotely feasible price. There's a few 16's being sold for 5,000 or something like that.. and I keep getting pestered to sell my land by random people every time I log in now.. I really have no attachment to the zone however. What recommendation would you have to sell? Should I split it into smaller pieces than 512? How much should it be sold for? I was last offered 4000 which.. seems like the bare minimum for a 512 anywhere, so that seems like a bad deal. I'm not sure if I want to buy a new 512 somewhere.. hopefully cheap or see if there's other options.. but no matter what I'm not interested in a place that charges rent. Passing of a friend A friend of mine passed away named Furp. He was pretty well known in the community. To show my support I created an object that I would like to give to people who wish for it to show support if they wish. Giant Paw Cushion? :D So I do believe that furs that's been around any of the furry sims can attest to seeing those huge beds that look like paws, especially in the clubs and what not. I also believe that most furs find them to be most awesome heehee (so do I). So to my point: I'm looking for something like that in real life (Y'know, that game you play when there's nothng else to do on secondlife :p). Is there any slim chance at all that these cushions or beds shaped like paws exists in real life? Call for a new avatar My main character is a raccoon. I've got the old Lost Furest avatar and have been satisfied with it since I first got it. I haven't really put much thought into it before now, but today someone I met had mistaken it for a freebie avatar. He said that compared to many of the other avatars out there, the Lost Furest racoon was pretty low in quality, and now that I'm thinking about it, I think maybe he's right.I know that some avatar makers post here, so I'm putting out a call. There aren't any good quality raccoon avatars in Second Life that can compete with the other fine avatars coming out today. please, my apologies for a double post, but I forgot to ask this before once again, sorry about this, I know its bad eticate, or however you spell it, but I need some help of my own, so please, don't bite foxy for this, so here goes...ok, I've got this computer of mine from october 2007, a Dell Inspiron D530 desktop system with a intel core 2 duo proccessor, 2 GB of ram, 2 160 GB hard drives, and an ATI Radeon X1300 256 MB graphichs card. now the problem is, I play a lot of secondlife, like I never sign out, literally, I sleep with it on, and my headset on my head so my mate can wake me up. the thing is, I have to keep my graphics way the hell down, or else my heat sink on my graphics card literally starts melting onto my motherboard, and its 60 degrees in my room, and all the covers have been taken off the damn thing. the question I have is, how can I increase proformance cheaply, like literally, so cheap, its free, and keep this dell POS from overheating and killing itself since this computer is no longer under warrenty, and I don't have fast enough parts to fix this thing with, only crap parts from a custom build from 5 years ago, and the parts arent compatable. Also, I have an Nvidea Gforce 6600 128 MB graphics card that is compatable, but its got half the memory, I've never put it in the dell, since its impossible to find drivers for the fucking thing, but I have a feeling since its got half the memory, I'd have to set my graphics lower that the ATI card, but I'm not sure, so I was wondering if someone could tell me which is the better card in this racket of crap parts.if you guys need specific spechs on either of the computers or individual parts to help, feel free to ask, I know my way around a windows XP system, so ask any questions needed, I'm desperate for help before my motherboard fries on me.thanks allJohn, aka, Greatfox.
