I make a lavender syrup that I add to butterfly pea flower tea, it's the prettiest colour. Add some citrus and watch it change colour!

There is some discourse on my dash about if eating fruit from a tree in a public space is considered stealing.
To add even more to the fruit discourse, talking about my experiences living in Brazilā¦ as a child, my grandmaās house had a huge mango tree, and the neighbors crafted a pile made of brooms + a soda plastic bottle cut in half attached to it and they would poke it out of the walls of their yard into my grandmaās yard, up until the tree, to pick up mangoes. They had an acerola (barbados cherry) tree sticking out their yard wall, and the wall was short enough that we only needed a chair to reach the top of their tree, and we would take their fruits too. Seemed like a fair trade. I never knew their names, we never talked about it, but we would hear each other from the yards, laughing at ourselves āstealingā each otherās fruits.
I am an adult now, in a different, bigger city now, and there is a blackberry tree in my house. My mom planted it to attract birds, but it attracts neighbors, and weāre fine with it. A man once used the berries to make jam, brought some with cheese for my mom in return. A neighbor brought stairs to reach the top of tree. People Iāve never seen brought bags to pick up more berries. And Iām all honestyā¦ itās chaotically wholesome. And I wouldnāt have it any other way, and I donāt see it as stealing. I see it as: there is a tree full of fruit, and if people donāt eat it, it will fall off and rot, and it seems a little wasteful to not share it. I think a lot of people share that thought here, and there is a famous cartoon character known for his stories that usually start with him stealing guava from the trees of his neighbor (his name is Chico Bento). As I said, chaotically wholesome.

If you had to speak in only one language forever more, but could only read and write in a different language, which two would you choose?

Ah, omens! My bad luck ones are unexpected clouds rolling in on a sunny day, a new song starting as I pull in to where Iām supposed to be in a car, and having a good feeling about work that day.
My good ones are seeing road runners, a song ending right as I pull in somewhere in my car, and winning anything at all on a scratch lottery ticket.
I have a neutral one too, the number 213 is a harbinger of some kind of event. It used to be a good omen but now things just happen, for worse or better but noteworthy,

My mother always said my dad was lucky in certain aspects of his life, he could always spot shiny things (metal nails, rings, phones, coins, bracelets, necklaces etc.) on the ground. Now lately I think thatās my good omen too, because I found many shiny things this last half year and itās been full of surprises, and also possibly the happiest Iāve been in 3 years if not longer. But also, when I see birds and bees outside, I think things must get better because they felt so welcome to come to my yard :) sometimes a good omen can also be an oddly-shaped rock/twig or the funny rubbish I notice lying somewhere.

for me magpies are a good omen, seeing them anywhere is always a good sign

For me good omens include: birds of all kinds, rain, and sequential numbers.
Bad omens: crickets and grasshoppers, and when all of the radio stations are playing ads at the beginning of my work day.
