Sluggites Unite! (original) (raw)

[ mood | overanalytical ]

So tired. And yet so depressed. And yet and yet so hyper to counter it all. Oy. And just over two hours until an update. fkbdlvblbvjlakbkoiadnvuioeBLEH. I suffer.

My thinkings on Ocean's Unmoving:
Gaaaaah! I'd really like it a lot more, I think if a) it hadn't... the Torg and the Zoƫ and the gyah!!! the NO! NO NO NO NO NO!... interrupted a part of Sluggy that many of us are just so very looking forward to being resolved. Granted, it was the Torg Potter's fault, too. Are we going to keep having Torg Potters for the next however many years? Only time and Pete will tell! But yeah, it cut off something I was reeeeeeally looking forward to. b) Also, I hope Pete can finish it in time for Christmas. I really want to see Bun-Bun come back for a quite slap to/from Santa. Or something. Get drunk for my birthday. Anything. c) I think Pete made it unnecessarily complex for being told in the comic. I agree with him that it would've made an awesome graphic novel, but I think it gets really short-changed because of all of the background info. In retrospect, he's probably wishing he had skipped some things entirely, like... twin-fits. While amusing from a quantum physics POV, it's not necessary to the plot... at least as far as we've seen. And just some other things like that. Too big, too complex, and as he admitted, now way too wordy, not enough "just funny", even compared to some of the other epics. Kitten, Holiday Wars, The Bug, The Witch, and the Robot... all had their consistently funny parts, and yes, so does Oceans Unmoving... but I think the caribs take something away from it, even though I'm sure they were intended to add comedy.

I dunno.

I think too much.

And yet, it's Sluggy, so I like it. Or... Sluggy that doesn't involve MITDOP/G/H/E... or Boys' Night Out. ;)

And it has Bun-Bun. Can't complain there.

I'm gonna go read some!
