The Children of Time Awards has only 8 days left to submit nominations for Round 3. Time is quickly running out to get your nominations in and we still have a lot of categories in need of nominations. I know there is so much wonderful fic out there that is not getting nominated that should be. I'd love to see all the wonderful authors here represented.

Author Notes: So, I wanted to definitely write something smutty after the angsty!Ten bunny attacked me for the last two stories. I was working on a straightforward PWP, but the idea for this story kept bugging me until I determined that I had to write it down. I guess between the kinky John Smith stories by jo_mako and persiflage_1, I have decided that John Smith is a bit of a kinky bastard. Then again, as I mentioned to persiflage_1, it might just be me wanting to punish him for both his and the Doctor’s treatment of Martha. Anyway, as I said, here’s a kinky D/s style story. I will say upfront that I am a pretty vanilla kind of girl when it comes to kink and have never participated in such a scenario, so I hope it sounds okay. Thanks so much to the ever-wonderful persiflage_1 who beta’d this piece – girl, you are a star! As always, still getting used to writing again, so that is also a handicap. Feedback is happy-making though, so please leave a word or two.

Author Notes: The idea for this fic turned up ages ago, but it was some time before I got the urge to write it. The idea I had was for a fic in which John Smith doesn't fall for Joan Redfern, but does notice that someone is paying attention to Martha. This fic covers John Smith's and the Tenth Doctor's (once he's got his Time Lord essence back) reactions to the events that ensue. The Family doesn't show up at any point so Martha just has to wait out the three months until they die, coping as best she can. This is the first fic I've written that uses flashbacks extensively – hopefully they'll work; I wanted to show how Martha learned to cope in 1913 and this seemed to be the way to write the fic.
