Krishna Menon, V. K. (Vengalil Krishnan), 1897-1974 (original) (raw)
V.K. Krishna Menon was an Indian politician. Living in London, he became active in the Indian self-government movement. He served as High Commissioner for India in Great Britain, Indian delegate to the United Nations, and Indian Minister of Defense. Despite certain errors in judgment, he was trusted by Nehru, and did much to establish fledgling India's domestic, foreign, and defense policies.
