Clyde Robert Bulla (b. 1914) is an American author of books for young people. He has written historical fiction, contemporary fiction, nonfiction, music, poems, retellings of operas and Biblical stories, and books set in foreign lands.

Clyde Robert Bulla is the recipient of many awards for his children's books, among them, the Authors Club of Los Angeles award for an outstanding children's book (1962), the Southern California Council on Children's Literature (3 awards), the Commonwealth Club of California Silver Medal (1971), the Christopher Award (1971), Children's Book Showcase (1973), Charlie May Simon Award (1978), Sequoyah Children's Book Award (1978), the South Carolina Children's Book Award (1980), and a Notable Children's Trade Book in Social Studies (1982).

Born into a farming family in Missouri in 1914, Clyde Robert Bulla was the author of over fifty children's books. His travels inspired many of his books, which were set in locations around the world as well as in America. His work reflects careful research into the time, place, and cultural background of his stories. He died in 2007.
