Chittenden, L. E. (Lucius Eugene), 1824-1900 (original ) (raw )Lucius Eugene Chittenden was born on May 24, 1824 in Williston, Vermont. Chittenden served as the Register of the U.S. Treasury during Lincoln's first administration. He was also an author, banker, and attorney. He passed away on July 22, 1900.
