Harold Boeschenstein (1896-1972) was born in Edwardsville, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1920. During his long career in the glass industry he rose to the position of Chairman of the Board of Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation. He served as Chairman of the Business Advisory Council of the Department of Commerce from 1954 to 1956.
