Tina Dickey is an art historian, Seattle, Wash. Hans Hofmann (1880-1966 ) was a painter and teacher, referred to as the "dean" of Abstract Expressionism. His schools were in Munich, Germany, New York, N.Y., and Provincetown, Mass.
