Thompson, an author of western fiction, has written over 250 short stories and 12 novels, including "Brand of a Man" (1957) and "Outlaw Valley" (1987). He also worked as editor for the Amarillo, Texas "Globe-Times" during the early 1960s.

Thomas Thompson was a writer of western stories, novels and teleplays, first for pulp magazines and later for television. He was born in Dixon, Calif. and attended business college in San Francisco, before commencing free-lance writing in 1941.
