Three Clemson cadets; George Chaplain, Paul L. Tobey, and J. Henry Woodward are credited with preparing this report. Crouch served as minister of the Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson from 1925-1954. Robert Franklin Poole, 1893-1958 was a noted plant pathologist and president of Clemson College from 1940-1958. A 1916 graduate of Clemson College, Poole received his M.S. and Ph. D. in plant pathology from Rutgers University. Poole was appointed associate professor and plant pathologist at North Carolina College in 1926. As president of Clemson from 1940-1958, he oversaw the de-militarization of the campus, the admission of women, and major changes in the physical plant of the campus. ...
