Abstract
Score card, [May 13],1899, between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Washington Senators. The Dodgers beat the Senators 7 to 3 on this day. The cover of the scorecard is in color and looks almost like a proof with a number of advertisments available and a number of blank areas for future advertisers. Hanlon, the manager of the Dodgers is in the center of the front cover. The inside pages contain a number of advertisements. The card is scored in pencil. The person scoring the game used a method different than the modern version. The Brooklyn team was made up of: Casey, Keeler, Kelley, Anderson, McGann, Daly, Farrell, Hughes, and Yeager; the Washington team was made up of: Slagle, Mercer, Bonner, Cassidy. McGuire, Freeman, Padden, Baker, and Gettman.
