Abstract
The album of Caro Bernard Jarvis contains photographs of members of the Jarvis, Daig, Bernard, and McMurdo families of England, Scotland, Canada and the United States, particularly Montana. Most of the portraits are unidentified. Several were taken in India where members of the Bernard family were serving with British forces. A second album, belonging to an unidentified family member contains similar photographs of the same people, including two of children in India taken with their Indian ayah. A third album chierfly contains portraits of McMurdo family members. An album of an unidentified family member contains several photographs taken in Montana and one of "Janet Sampson our teacher" taken by the Wampler Studios, Charlottesville, Va., in 1894. Another album contains snapshots of family members and unidentified sports teams, postcards of Ft. Ethan Allan, a 1911 New Year's menu for troop G, 10th U.S. Cavalry, and a brochure from the Chatham Episcopal Institute.
