The Last Train Left an Hour Ago
When she saw Lupin fall Tonks stepped forward to meet her aunt’s fatal curse. .
When she opened her eyes she was on platform of a train station. It was deserted except for a scrawny, dark haired boy of perhaps fifteen who sat slouched on a bench.
“Where’s Remus?” Tonks demanded. “Where’s my husband.”
“Who, Lupin? He and his mates took off on the last train.” The boy said with considerable disdain. “Lily was with them.” He added sadly.
“He can’t have left without me.”
The boy shrugged as if he didn’t care, but offered her the seat beside him.
