It will describe how the industry has grown in the country from its early days before the Second World War, to the nature of public relations today, through an in depth coverage of the origin, growth and development of the public relations sector in Malaysia. The purpose of this paper is to provide a thorough historical background and scope of the topic in a country where it is more or less overshadowed by their neighbouring country Singapore.
