A separate section of the work is devoted to the study of the grant support system of NPIs in Russia. Systemic and private problems have been identified. Conclusions are drawn about imperfections of the emerging system of interaction between the State and NCBs, including in the area of project financing; and also about the need to create conditions for the replication of successful pilot projects of individual NCBs on the territory of the whole of Russia.

The methodological results include the identification of the special heuristic potential of mixed methods during exploratory research; in the substantive part, a situation of social maladjustment of faculty was diagnosed in the context of developing “academic capitalism”, when the a...

Life values, value orientations, social attitudes, and other corresponding social collisions have been the object of many studies. Among them a substantial number have been done by sociologists in this country; for example, the Scientific Research Institute for Comprehensive Social Research at St. Petersburg State University conducted a survey in fourteen cities of Russia in 1997 [1]; I.A. Surina and K.R. Gaisanov studied the values of young people in college, in 1999 [2]; V.V. Gavriliuk and N.A. Trikoz surveyed school students in Tiumen in 2002 [3]; a nationwide survey of young
