This study was conducted to identify the accounting learning gaps of K-12 ABM graduates enrolled ... more This study was conducted to identify the accounting learning gaps of K-12 ABM graduates enrolled in the Sorsogon State University (SorSU) BS in Accountancy program in the Academic Year 2021-2022. This study used mixed design to quantitatively determine the accounting learning gaps of K-12 ABM Graduates explore those issues concerning the causes of accounting learning gaps encountered by the respondents. Results revealed that student-respondents were found to have weakness or very little accounting knowledge and skills were attributed to some factors such Limited Accounting Background and Proper Preparation, Lack of Calculation Skills, Non-integration of Accounting Lessons into Real-Life Context, Limited Physical and Human Resources are Available for the Implementation of the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Track under the K-12 System and Students Study Habits and Approaches. This research was conducted to determine the liquidity issues and profitability index of small-sc... more This research was conducted to determine the liquidity issues and profitability index of small-scale businesses operating in the Second District of Sorsogon Province, Philippines as well as to establish the relationship of these two variables. This study used mixed design. A total of 223 small-scale business owners engaged in trading in the Second District of Sorsogon Province, Philippines were the primary respondents of this research. Vertical analyses and stepwise linear regression analyses were utilized. This study concludes that small-scale business entities in the Province of Sorsogon are highly liquid and profitable depicting their ability to pay short-term maturing obligation. Limited and unavailability of capitalization, Absence of Credit Policy, High Finance cost for debt financing, Inventory obsolescence, Shortage of resources and Lack of markets of measure and scope are the identified liquidity issues by small-scale business owners. This study determined the demographic profile of faculty members of State Universities and Colleg... more This study determined the demographic profile of faculty members of State Universities and Colleges in Bicol, Philippines and assessed their job satisfaction. This also aimed to test if there is significant difference in the extent of the job satisfaction of faculty members with respect to their demographic profile when grouped according to gender, age, length of service, status of appointment and educational attainment. Descriptive method of researcher was utilized to realize the objectives of this study. Data were collected through the use of a modified survey questionnaire which was tested for validation and reliability using Cronbach’s value. To facilitate the analyses and interpretations of the data gathered, descriptive statistics (frequency count, ranking and percentage technique) and inferential statistics (one-way ANOVA) were used and made easier through the aid of the Statistical Packages for the Social Science (SPSS). This study assessed the level of organizational commitment in terms of affective commitment, cont... more This study assessed the level of organizational commitment in terms of affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment as well as the job satisfaction of employees of Sorsogon State College Bulan Campus (SSC-BC) to test if there is significant relationship among these variables. Descriptive correlational method of research was used. For this purpose, survey questionnaires were used to facilitate the survey. Out of the total 49 workforce, only 40 employees of SSC-BC were considered as the respondents. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Weighted mean was used for the purpose of summarizing, interpreting and identifying the trends and patterns of the data gathered from the survey. Also considers the impact of role overload, inter‐role conflict, and coping behaviour on these attitudes. Suggests that a complex set of forces creates differences in the extent to which an individual encounters, and is successfully able to contend with, both role overload and inter‐role conflict. Gender differences were observed in the accountants′ expressions of housekeeper role overload, volunteer role overload, and inter‐role conflict between work and spouse. Locus of control differences were present in the perceived conflict between work and self. Locus of control and gender interacted to produce differences in accountants′ expressions of overload and leisurite role overload expressed less satisfaction with their current positions and greater intentions to search for alternative opportunities. To realize the research objectives, a blind spot descriptive correlational method of research was used. Data taken from the College Registrar Office and from Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) were treated and analyzed using weighted mean and the Pearson (r) Correlation. There were 125 respondents who participated in this undertaking. Results revealed that the BSA graduates performed very satisfactorily in their academic subjects. However, it was found out that the respondents have a less satisfactory performance in the actual CPA Board Examination. Statistically, the academic performance ratings of the BSA students were found to have a significant positive relationship to their CPA Board Examination Performance Rating.
