Buddy Guy

I live submerged in downloads, new lost post punk reissues, Odd Future crew shenanigans, dancehall autotune acrobatics, twisted lo-fi indie psych soul, every new thing. The torrents never stop.

Then Stone Crazy comes down the pipe. It plays. It gets turned up. By the time it's finished Damn Right I've Got The Blues is waiting in line, turned up more. Then Sweet Tea after that.

So once in a great while this kind of thing just cuts through the ephemera, hipness be damned, and decks me like a steroidal linebacker. And fuck, I love music again.

yeah I know, gross, Uffie but this song grew on me as her voice is only marginally featured

year is half over part 2

so I haven't much listened to new music this year, but I have discovered lots of awesomeness i hadn't realized before. What's some stuff you've enjoyed?
