When Spring Awakens (original) (raw)

Anna giggled excitedly, galloping through the woods in her winter finest, ice skates grasped firmly in mittened hand. Cheeks far exceeding the point of flushed, she finally managed to reach the river, now frozen over; sparkling in the dim sunlight, she approached it, her breaths huffing out in anticipation.

Yet another loud giggle escaping her, Anna collapsed down upon the newly fallen snow. Tearing off her boots in one swift motion, she beamed in delight, preparing her feet for the sudden, however familiar, intrusion of the leather-bound blades.

Wendla was standing outside, watching the leaves fall off the trees, a small smile on her face. She was nicely bundled up in her little gray coat and scarf and hat. (Of course, she still wore her kindergarten dress with full stockings this time lest the back of her knees get cold.)

She began to kick the leaves into a little pile. it took some time, but when she was through she immediately began bounding around in the leaves.

It was Monday. The end of another weekend of studying was over and a hellish week of school would soon start. To top it off, the weather was getting cooler. Moritz pulled his lanky arms around himself for warmth as he walked to school. It was all he could do to get out of bed this morning.
Herr Sonnenstich was about to give back the grades and Moritz was certain he failed.

He slumped his way into class and sat in his usual seat in the back. Moritz could register the sounds of the other boys. He was nearly late. It was going to be another terrible day, he could just tell.

Otto grasped his book in his hand as he made his way down the steps of the school, watching as it seemed like Georg was already half way to his piano lesson with Fraulein Grossenbustenhaulter. He sighed to himself as he slowly crossed the center of town and down the path toward the stream. He knew his Mama would be furious with him for not coming home right away, but he had to have some peace and quiet.

He walked through the forest toward the stream and looked out at the small yet somewhat grand stream before him. "Ah." he sighed to himself as he walked down the bank to the edge of the stream. He placed his books on the ground and moved back into a comfortable position. He grasped his Latin book to work on the homework assigned by Herr Sonnestich.

Ernst sat alone in the vineyard, Latin homework open in his lap. He'd come here intending on finishing it all by himself. But now as he looked at the verbs to be conjugated and sentences to be translated, he wondered if he'd ever make it past the first few lines. Frustrated, he sat back against a tree and sighed. Perhaps passing to the next grade was going to be tougher than expected.

Wendla felt a little funny.

It had stopped raining sometime in the morning. She hadn't slept a wink last night, especially after-- well. It was all she could think about. She was filled with a sort of dread when she ate with her mother and father that morning, as if they knew her secret.

So, there she was, sitting where she and the girls usually played, gently picking violets and gathering them in a bunch.

Typist: For socializing purposes! I figure we each make a post just post loft scene in any situation the character might be in. If the threads get too long (or naughty hahahahah), you can either move into your journal or into IM and post a log to the community. Each thread is a separate situation.

So, lovely people, when would you like to begin the RPing?

I believe that, storyline-wise, we're going to begin just after the Hayloft Scene.
