Massive vacation picture post, part 1 (original) (raw)

Happy Canada day.
this is the first of a series of posts about our vacations....Ginger already did a write up on her lj about them, but here's some fun visuals:

For the Carolina leg of our trip, we didnt bring a camera, so no pics from there......on the long part of the road trip my Mom took all the pics, and posted them on pbucket, so we begin in Ohio

Our first stop on the trip was in Yellow Springs Ohio, home of Antioch College. Antioch is a school Ginger almost went to, but has now closed its campus and become an online-only "university" The original campus is beautiful, but in disrepair.

The town was very artsy and friendly, I hope it can survive now that the college is gone

After Ohio, we drove through Indiana, stopping at Fair Oaks Farms' Dairy Adventure

We ate fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and saw the cheese factory, which even had a Starbucks in it.....for a fee we could have gone on a tour of the whole Dairy Adventure, but we kept on the road to Chicago
