Big data analytics and capabilities (BDA&C) have the potential to transform existing business... more Big data analytics and capabilities (BDA&C) have the potential to transform existing business strategies. Big data analytics technologies and capabilities can help businesses make data-driven decisions that enhance business outcomes. More effective marketing, additional income opportunities, customer personalization, and increased operational efficiency are possible benefits. The present research outlines the impact of the BDA&C on SCM of Indian cement industry. This research uses SEM and Smart-PLS to determine how effective the adoption of BDA&C. An empirical study used a sample of 300 respondents from the Indian cement industry to test five hypotheses using 26 variables in a model. The SEM findings highlight the relative relevance of several variables to boosting the Indian cement supply chain and logistics management. This model demonstrates the understanding of the critical role of big data analytics and capabilities and their interconnections in the supply chain and logistics operation. The study found a significant mediating effect of BDA capabilities on several aspects of sustainable SCM. Advance infrastructure development, management capabilities, personnel expertise, and technical expertise strongly influence BDAC in the present scenario. These findings can be valuable and guide the executives of the industry who demand to learn more about the implications of BDA&C on supply chain performance and logistics management.

Performance appraisal is considered as a management tool which is often used for motivating and e... more Performance appraisal is considered as a management tool which is often used for motivating and effective utilization of human resources. This tool is used for determining compensation, incentives, promotion, tenure, transfers, layoffs and development of potential employees in an organization. The basic objective of this study is to analyze the need for replacement of traditional Performance Appraisal System (PAS) in public sector enterprises by using a case study approach selecting a public sector company, the Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited. The study highlights that employees perceive the PAS measures to be objective, accurate and unbiased, and the PAS system to be transparent, performance-based and linked to employee growth opportunities. Also, significant differences have been found in the perception of workers and managers on the given constructs of modified PAS.

The COVID-19 crises have severe impacts on the purchase behaviour and consumption patterns of people, and their well-being, therefore the sociology of consumption has devoted attentions in the period of Crises. For this purpose, the data of 1700 customers on various dimensions were gathered using close ended-Likert scale questionnaire and analysed with Structured equation model through AMOS software. The outcome of the research is the Framework that include the predictors (i.e. Awareness of COVID-19, Attitude towards Pandemic and Product Type) and out comes (i.e. Consumer Behaviour, Change in Priority and Change in Method) due to threats that exhibited psychological process underlying reactance to their freedom. Results indicated the significant effects of Awareness of COVID-19, Attitude towards Pandemic, and type of product in shopping on changes in consumer behaviour and priorities in present crisis.

Abstract In the cement industry, the decision for the replacement of the Spare Parts Inventory is... more Abstract In the cement industry, the decision for the replacement of the Spare Parts Inventory is the more essential decision, especially, the proportion of the product collection, dedicated to replacement parts is always important. The unusual incidence of demand associated with these products & the consequent low contribution to an organization's overall turnover, this slower-moving SKUs rising to constitute up to 60 percent of the total stock value. Simple changes in their implementation may also be converted into significant cost savings. The current research is undertaken to measure and use a proactive methodology for keeping the inventory of Spare parts. In Cement companies, the methods used for High-value management of material, spare part material, carrying cost, and components of replenishment lead time with critical spare part inventory to be kept, is of greater significance. The methodology of the research includes gathering the views of 902 respondents of cement companies. The same was further analysed with the statistical technique multiple regression to develop the benefits model for the PSPI. The outcome of the research is in the form of aspects of Spare part material with six categories including Physical Stockroom, Computerization Assessment, Tracking enhancement steps for spare part inventory, Visual Inspection, Rules for effective spare part management and essential points regarding JIT.
