A weighting w of the edges of a graph G induces a coloring of the vertices of G where the color of vertex v, denoted Sv := ∑ e∋v w(e). A k-edge-weighting of a graph G is an assignment of an integer weight, w(e) ∈ {1, 2, . . . , k} to each edge e, such that two vertexcolor Sv, Su be distinct for every edge uv. In this paper we determine an exact 3-edge-weighting of complete graphs k 3q+1 ∀q ∈ N. Several open questions are also included.

Osteoblasts constitute part of the stromal cell support system in marrow for hematopoiesis by participating in the formation of the HSC niche. It is believed that interaction between hematopoietic cells and bone forming osteoblasts regulate each other's function. It is established that acute blood loss in animal models activates bone formation and niche development because of EPO stimulation. In this experimental study we have examined the coculture of HSCs derived from cord blood which treated with EPO in vitro, on osteoblastic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.

Bilateral dorsal and ventral involvement of scapulae is extremely rare without any reported case in the literature. An 18-year-old girl was referred because of bilateral prominent scapulae and left-sided pain on shoulder girdle motion especially at more than 90° abduction and forward flexion. Radiograph evaluation showed multiple exostoses on ventral and dorsal surfaces of body of both scapulae; hence simple excision of the lesion was impossible. The patient was symptom-free about 18 months after partial scapulectomy of left side. Partial scapulectomy seems to be an effective treatment for the sandwiched scapula between dorsal and ventral benign tumors.

The ulnar styloid process and ulnar variance have important roles in this syndrome. The statistical data related to these factors is not enough in Iranian literature. This study measured ulnar styloid length and ulnar variance in a group of healthy adults.

In Study 1, judges scanned Persian dictionaries and several Persian novels for person-descriptive terms. The resulting set of person-descriptive terms was classified into different categories of description, including the category of dispositional trait-descriptive adjectives. Of the 544 most familiar traits, 126 traits were selected to collect self-ratings. In Study 2, self-ratings were provided by 2400 students. Ratings were factor analysed (Principal Components Analysis) followed by Varimax rotation. Factor structures with two to six factors were discussed. The two-factor structure and the three-factor structure confirm the Big Two and the Big Three, respectively. Of the structures with five and six factors, the five-factor structure appears to be the more appropriate choice, with the factors labelled Morality, Positive versus Negative Emotionality, Achievement, Thoughtfulness and Affection. Gender differences were measured on both the five-factor structure and the six-factor structure. The discussion section emphasised both cross-cultural commonalities and cultural deviations in reference to the Big Five.

Firstly, the problems which the translators met for attaining lexical adequacy and semantic equivalence were explored. Secondly, the type and extent of strategies adopted by these three translators for overcoming the problems were described. Finally, the translators` works were compared and implications drawn. The findings of the study showed that the lexical compression of the original DNs and their emotive overtones and effects caused the main body of problems for the translators. Furthermore, it was found out that the most frequent strategies adopted by Shakir and Qarai were "near-synonymy" and "expansion" respectively. Nikayin, however, used these two strategies almost to an equal extent as his most frequent strategies.
