There is an increase demand of the development of advanced material for many industrial applications,to meet such demands composites are the right solution. Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) have higher strength to weight ratio and their properties can be tailored as per the industrial requirements, MMC's are highly abrasive and tools can wear rapidly, machining of these materials attracted researchers and industrial community a lot.The main purpose of machining is to produce a product ofdesired shape and size with specific quality and surface finishby removing a material in the form of chips and it is effected by cutting parameters like cutting speed, feed, depth of cut and also the selection of cutting tool plays a major role.

Cutting tool plays a major role as far as machining is concerned, the objective of machining is to produce a product of desired shape and size with required surface quality and finish. Aluminium based metal matrix composites
(AMMC’s) finds wide industrial applications such as automobile, aerospace and sports related industries due to their excellent mechanical and physical properties. The cost of machining of a manufactured component amounts 20 % more the value of manufactured product and eighty percent manufactured parts need machining before they are ready to use. In this paper elaborated review has been done regarding problem encountered while machining these materials and especially conventional
machining processes like turning and milling has been focused.

MMCs are engineered combinations of two or more materials (one of which is a metal) where tailored properties are achieved by systematic combinations of different constituents. Automotive industries are attracted to MMCs because these materials has reduction in mass especially in engine parts, improved wear resistance or lubrication characteristics, improved material properties, especially stiffness and strength. An attempt has been done by this paper to give brief account of recent work done about the Metal Matrix Composites for automotive application.

There must be a combination of properties in a material for specific purpose, now a days the component having modern technology works in an environment that are special, like very high temperature, vacuum, high hydrostatic pressure like deep sea, etc. Conventional materials are not meeting such requirements for such requirements metal matrix composite (MMC) is the right choice. Metal matrix composites (MMCs) generally consist of lightweight metal alloys of aluminum, magnesium, or titanium, reinforced with ceramic particulate, whiskers, or fibers. The reinforcement is very important because it determines the mechanical properties, cost, and performance of a given composite.

Vibration problems are often encountered, both in everyday life like the heavy noise of an unbalanced washing machine, etc. excessive vibrations causes damage and wear on components it should be minimized the aim of vibration control is to reduce unwanted vibrations. The vibrations of washing machine during the spin cycle can shake the whole house, but it can be control with vibration isolation/dampening pads.
Keywords: Vibration control; Vibration; Forced vibration; Front loaded washing machine; Washer.

In this paper study has been done about wax defects and there minimization, generally in this method defects occur during waxing. This process uses wax pattern which is subsequently melted from the mold, leaving a cavity having all the details of the original pattern. This method produce a part of very close tolerances and this process does not need a parting line or any form of spilt mould.

In permanent mold casting process no external pressure is applied but hydrostatic pressure created by the risers is mainly responsible for casting of metal in the mold. As no external pressure is applied hence this process is also called Gravity die casting.
