They are not only the future of Nigeria, but also useful resources in the Nation building. For the youths to become useful resources in the Nigerian project, they must be gainfully employed. However, what we see in Nigeria today is that, youths are engage in many anti-social activities such as political thug, militancy, restiveness and other social vices, evidence among the unemployed and joblessness youths are real danger to the peaceful co-existence of the country. This proper identifies the main causes of youth unemployment and its challenges in Nigeria; it also recommend that, young Nigerians should be trained to possess skills that are congruent with the real labour market demand. Public Service Motivation (PSM) is still a new field of study which need to be extended to variou... more Public Service Motivation (PSM) is still a new field of study which need to be extended to various parts of the world, especially third world countries like Nigeria, in order to ascertain or generalized the results of the construct. This study is aimed at examining the concept of PSM, what it is, its Nature, its dimensions and antecedents. The paper is limited to three social institution antecedents; family socialization, religion socialization and professionalism. The paper argued that, the level of PSM of Nigerian worker is very low compared to that of other developed countries. It further argued that Family socialization, Religious socialization and professionalism can play a very vital role in raising the level of PSM.
Forced migration in and into Nigeria was caused by several reasons such as environmental degradat... more Forced migration in and into Nigeria was caused by several reasons such as environmental degradation and natural disasters, inter and intra communal/ inter-ethnic clatters, boundary clashes between native people and settlers, disagreements over land, electoral violence, as well as violent conflicts. However, the most devastating armed conflict that has led to force migration of people in recent times particularly in the northeastern part of the Nigeria is the Boko Haram uprising. Reports have showed that, over two million people were forced to move out from their original homes as a result of the crisis. This paper therefore, seeks to examine the nature, growth and consequences of the crisis. The paper also tries to highlights the effects of the crisis on the plight of the displaced people in terms of their living conditions, food and nutrition, health, security and education. The paper finally offers some recommendations with a view of improving the situation.

Party’s serves as a link between citizens and government, consolidates development through a welldefined economic programme. They also provide leadership training to members and generate national awareness and help to galvanize opinion in time of national referendum. For parties to effectively and efficiently perform the above functions, they have to meet certain criteria such as autonomy, complexity and coherence. Parties should also be able to develop and maintain a strong party organization with depth and breadth necessary for the operations and the degree of institutionalization of the party as indicated by its historical roots, longevity, survival and continuing supports.
