Victoria is an Undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews, anticipating graduation in 2016 with a BSc. degree in Management studies. During her time at university, she has received recognition with distinction by the University of St Andrews School of Management for her entrepreneurial work.
Victoria is passionate about public health research and exercises this interest through a number of disciplines. In 2011 she received an award of recognition as a Regional Finalist in the Young Epidemiology Scholars, a nationwide US competition hosted by the College Board. Her independent research submission to this competition, which focused on risk of obesity among low-income minority groups in the southern United States, can be found in the 'Papers' section of this profile.
Her interest in research has since extended outside of obesity and nutrition. She is currently working on various initiatives to advocate ART patient retention and researching ways to strengthen support, counseling and education of HIV/AIDS-related topics. Victoria's experience with such health issues has so far pertained to independent research, as well as establishing humanitarian programs to provide support and outreach to afflicted children in rural Kenya.
Victoria lives in Scotland,UK as she resumes her studies, while continuing her extracurricular research pursuits in addition to managing several aspects of a student-created Non-Profit Organization focused on preserving the history and traditions of historic St Andrews.
