Ouch. Jul. 23rd, 2006 @ 05:18 pm
peitriarch So I've been in a frappuchino mood ever since I got my wisdom teeth pulled two days ago. At least today I was well enough to roll out of bed to go get one. I got a:Grande Caramel Affogato style caramel frappuchino.Affogato is a topping. Instead of whipped cream (though I guess you could put that on top...) they cover the top with caramel, then pour a shot of espresso over so it sort of drags the caramel down. You can also get it in mocha which is just chocolate instead of caramel.(1 comment | Leave a comment)
Half-Sweetened, Valencia, Shaken Green Tea Lemonade Jul. 17th, 2006 @ 05:47 pm
peitriarch Is about the best thing ever on a really hot day. It's my summertime drink of choice at Starbucks.Of course, they're discontinuing the Valencia syrup (the bitches!) so I've been experimenting with the different syrups but have yet to find one that is as good as the valencia.Current Drink: thirstythirstyCurrent Music: The Decemberists (2 comments | Leave a comment)
Peppermint Mocha Frappucchino Affogato Oct. 23rd, 2004 @ 02:04 pm
zaekyn Peppermint Mocha Frappucchino Affogato Looking for that special "Wake Me Up" treat that will skyrocket you into the wintery season (or at least your mouth)? Well this is it! Another one of those "not on the menu" items, the invention of this drink came out of a need for both espresso and that peppermint flavor at the buttcrack of dawn treks across the Crosstown (a Tampa thing). What makes this drink even more fun, is that it's loaded with mocha goodness!!! Lots of chocolate and peppermint, and the espresso shot blends every so cozy with everything and complimenting the flavors very well. The drink is perfect for any time of the day, and just adds a lift to your step when you need it the most. You cannot go wrong with this holiday splash! (Note: As it is still 85 degree in Florida, we have yet to venture into the hot drink scene...give it a month and we'll be diving in naked!)(Leave a comment)

Not really Starbucks, but... Oct. 17th, 2004 @ 06:05 pm
bluestocking7 I tried the Pumpkin Spice Chai at Borders today. I think Starbucks could do it better if they set their minds to it - perhaps I can get them to doctor the Pumpkin frapps...Anyway, on a scale of one cup to five, I'd give it a two cup maximum. It was too sweet and not pumpkin-y enough. It seems like maybe a tad more pumpkin and maybe some cream to counter the sweet taste would make it an exceptional drink.(1 comment | Leave a comment)

ยป Pumpkin Spice Creme Frappuccino
Since this is our first post, it is fitting it be something extra special for the season! Pumpkin Spice Creme Frappuccino Perhaps not listed on the menu at your local Starbucks, but surely something you don't want to miss! The cozy pumpkin, warm spices, and splash of vanilla immediately conjures the fall season to your mouth. For those of us in climates that don't experience significant changes to mark each season, this is a drink that will move your body from the harshness of summer to the cool and breezy autumn days. The taste of this drink is not overwhelming, but just enough. I recommend the creme fraps, because the flavor tends to get lost easily in the coffee base. If you're thinking of something a little warmer to survive the chilly days before us, this drink easily transitions from cold to hot! Since the flavor is derived from a syrup, you can add this to any number of things!Oct. 10th, 2004 @ 06:09 pm(Leave a comment)
