A lot of these stories contain slash, mpreg, and other "strange" subjects. Be sure to read the warnings.

Please read: Now that LJ allows posts and comments to be linked back to Twitter and Facebook, I would like to ask everyone who browses this page and any of the stories posted here to know that I do not want any of my fics linked to those sites. My fandom life and real life are separate and I'd like to keep them that way, so please do not cross post my stories to FB or Twitter.

Update: We've moved! Sorta. After years of debate, I finally decided to create my own writing journal: starrpen. I will no longer be updating the master fic list, but will keep it here for a day or two before deleting.

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Essential ACTA Resources -

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.

Summer terms are officially over. So I'm off until the fall semester... which starts in two weeks :P

I'm kinda nervous about how I did. I got really lazy after Summer A and kinda drifted through Summer B.

Grades come in on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Obviously by now everyone has already seen all the hoopla about how yesterday - August 1, 2010 - was Lisa's wedding day in The Simpson's episode "Lisa's Wedding."

Now I'm going to be all snobbish and point out something that everyone seems to be missing (other than the facts that there was no WWIII, Big Ben is not digital, and there are still trees in the world): Lisa did not get married yesterday. In that episode, Lisa met and fell in love with Hugh Parkfield, a man whom she thought would be her true love, but Hugh was unable to accept Lisa's family because they were crude, ignorant, slobs. Because Lisa loved her family more than Hugh and could not marry a man who did not understand that love, she left him at the alter.

So there you have it. Lisa is not married. Stop congratulating her for her non-wedding!

They really do. For serious. Who ever thought it would be a good idea to force students to attend abridged classes during the summer was an idiot, because the students don't want to be there, the professors don't want to be there, and the classes are too short for anybody to actually learn anything. So... blah.

So anyway, school update: Summer A has offically ended and I got a B+ in History and Apperciation of Music. I'm relieved. It was an easy class, but about midway into it (like the genius I am) I realized that if I bomb the class, my GPA could go down and if my GPA goes down, my scholarship might be taken away. Yeah, at that moment I realized I might be taking the class too lightly.

Summer B has started and oh my gosh I hate myself for picking these classes. I'm taking Intro to Philosophy in the morning and British Lit from 1789 in the afternoon. Both classes have heavy reading lists (I hate reading! Can't someone just read the text to me?) and the Philosophy class is a WAC course, which means there will be a lot of writing. *guh* I can't wait until this summer is over. I want to get back to the normal class schedules of the fall and spring.

At least my total credits are now at a 93/120. So close!
