This study explores the challenges and opportunities of EdTech adoption in India, considering factors such as technological infrastructure, regional disparities, digital literacy, and regulatory concerns. Despite its potential to democratize education, EdTech in India faces significant barriers, particularly in rural areas, where limited internet access and low digital skills hinder effective adoption (Bhattacharya & Sharma, 2020). Additionally, disparities in access due to socioeconomic factors exacerbate existing educational inequalities (Kumar et al., 2021). However, the rise of affordable mobile internet and the government's Digital India initiative offer promising avenues for expanding EdTech reach and impact (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, 2019). This study also examines emerging opportunities for personalized and self-paced learning, skill enhancement, and continuous assessment methods that can benefit students and educators alike. Recommendations are provided for addressing infrastructure gaps, promoting digital inclusivity, and implementing supportive policies to foster sustainable EdTech growth. In conclusion, while challenges remain, strategic interventions and partnerships have the potential to harness EdTech for bridging educational divides and enhancing learning outcomes across India’s diverse regions.

Rural communities must have access to digital literacy programmes in order to close the digital d... more Rural communities must have access to digital literacy programmes in order to close the digital divide and equip themselves with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital era. This study explores the challenges faced in implementing such programmes and proposes viable solutions to enhance their effectiveness. Among the obstacles noted are infrastructure constraints that make it difficult to provide digital training, such as poor internet connectivity and restricted access to digital devices. Furthermore, socio-economic factors, such as low awareness and resistance to change among rural populations, pose significant barriers to program adoption. To address these challenges, the study recommends a multifaceted approach. Firstly, improving infrastructure through initiatives like the BharatNet project to expand broadband connectivity and setting up Common Service Centres (CSCs) as accessible hubs for digital literacy training. Secondly, tailoring program content and delivery methods to local contexts and languages will enhance relevance and engagement among rural participants. Thirdly, foster partnerships between government agencies, NGOs, and local community organisations to leverage resources and extend programme reach. Through an analysis of existing initiatives and case studies, this study emphasizes the importance of community engagement and capacity building in sustaining digital literacy efforts. Digital literacy programmes may effectively empower rural communities by enabling people to access information, services, and opportunities necessary for socio-economic development in the digital era. Proactive methods and coordinated efforts can overcome these challenges.

Geographical difficulties, a distinctively diverse cultural population, and a historically undeveloped educational system are the hallmarks of the North East. Numerous important factors that have the potential to have a big impact on higher education in the North East are highlighted by the NEP. Through a concentration on skill based
education, the NEP also seeks to improve graduates' employability. This is particularly important in the North East since it can help address the region's particular employment issues and promote entrepreneurship. The NEP also aims to enhance the employability of graduates by focusing on skill based
education. In the context of the Northeast, this can be particularly significant in addressing the region's unique employment challenges and encouraging entrepreneurship. This study aims to explore the potential impact of the New Education Policy on higher education in the North East region of India. By analyzing the policy's key principles and objectives in relation to the specific context of the North East, this research seeks to assess the implications on student engagement, access to quality education, employability, and regional development.
