Erinomaisen, elinvoimaisen sekä monivivahteisen alkoholikuvauksen Druk jälkeen katsottu alansa klassikko tuntuu valitettavan pitkäpiimäiseltä ja kaavamaiselta. Pragmaattisten amerikkalaisten suhde alkoholiin tuntuu muutenkin usein tekopyhältä, pikkusievältä sekä ennen kaikkea tylsältä. Pelkkä vilkaisu julisteeseen kertoo tästä elokuvasta lähes kaiken olennaisen. Viina on perkeleestä. Toisaalta tätä paremmin tehtyä PSA-elokuvaa ei kaiketi ole, näyttelijät antavat kaikkensa ja maltillinen ohjaus pitäisi otteessaan ellei olisi jo julistetta vilkaisemalla hokannut viinan olevan perkeleestä.
