I’ve been wrapped up in stuff in my life right now. I should have a new challenge posted on Wednesday.

My excuses are piling up, but I hope you will forgive me. This time it's had a lot to do with the internet at my house. Sorry guys!

I know that you have all probably heard about the tragic loss of Amy Winehouse this week. Her music was different, and even though it sounded like it was retro, it strangely seemed to fit in today. I really liked a lot of her music, so I thought it was fitting to have several of her songs here for our next challenge. Maybe some of her music has touched you already, maybe you'll find something here that will touch you, either way, let's listen and give it a chance.

Thanks to everyone who has been writing. I, myself, have made a new promise to post something here every week, or at least every other week, from now on. They my not be long, but I think I felt better about my writing when I was posting here.

I know I'm still behind on reading, but I am trying to get caught up. Thanks for all you guys do!

I know it's been way too long since I even showed my face around here, but you...you guys are the BEST! I finally get to set down today and look at the site and you all brought tears to my eyes. You've continued to write, to share, to bring this place to life, even if I've been away.

You name it vacation, job, family, etc., the excuses are there, but I'm so glad you have all found something to keep this place moving. I just wanted to let each of you know how much I appreciate you.

Notes: Oh my gosh, you guys. This piece has seriously beat me up. It took me forever to get out of this writing funk I was in, and then I had trouble getting this story out. However, I finally did. *Whew* It's (hopefully) the prologue for a much longer story that I plan on completing. I have already posted this piece on FictionPress under the username 'Papermask'. So, if you happen to see that, it's me. :) Oh, also, I was definitely influenced by another song while writing this. It's called Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy. Enjoy!
