Once upon a time in an internet far far away, there lived two beautiful ficmongers named foxxcub and halfdutch. They were kind and benevolent writer fangirls with a deep and abiding love for LOST, Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, and boytouching...usually Jack and Sawyer boytouching, or Foxshy boytouching. But still, boytouching in general was a tie that bound these two together.

Then one day, their fic was recced to an innocent girl in LA who had only ever seen LOST slash in pictures, and was horribly squicked by RPS.

It all started with the likes of fics such as Bedshaped and Clean, fics which inspired and sucked the young girl further into corruption. Then it happened...the fateful day when she came across Puck's Intentions. Then after some fangirling, the benevolent one recced the likes of Foxshy at the Four Seasons.

It was through these beautiful ficmongers that other brilliant scribes were unearthed, until the day the innocent LA girl came across uberaeryn, one who was twice the psycho she aspired to be, and soon became her favorite LJ spammer...but that's a tale for another time.

Many other fics followed, too many to name, but with each one the innocent LA girl descended further and further into fandom. When the day came that she found Possession and Quid Pro Quo, the OT3 was unveiled gloriously before her eyes...a wellspring of sex and angst and all the boytouching she could ever want combined with the hetsmut she was slowly growing to love.

And so it was through the auspices of the first fandom OTP of all time that a LOST psycho fangirl was born, two very special friends were made, and countless other friendships were discovered, many and all of which were valued as much, if not more, than many RL friendships the innocent LA girl had.

So the innocent LA girl, now a LOST psycho fangirl, became another blessed casualty of fandom, the two beautiful ficmongers continued to write and propogate teh!smut and teh!slash, uberaeryn continued to spam and quote Eddie Izzard, and everyone lived happily ever after.
