[ **mood** | confused ] Is this town really as bad as it seems? is there anyone worth meeting here? if so where the hell are they hiding. I am here for the majority of the next 3 weeks for work at Shaw AFB and am at this point making a plea for social interaction of some sort with some form of intelligent life residing within the apparently overall derelict buildings and cookie cutter masses.. Come on.. I know this is SC, but is it asking too much to not have to head into Columbia to find something to do, or at least people who dont include more than 3 Country Western Artist in their top 5 musicians? Maybe even just someone with a faint Idea of what EBM/Industrial/Rivetpunk is?I really am starting to feel a bit lost among the masses in this town..if your out there, or have a tip of what is worth doing within a 50 mile radius.. etc.. feel free to IM me on AIM "Ramirez1301" or reply here.. The thought of 3 more weeks here with only basic cable and my co-workers to entertain me is less than bearable.. | |

Dude.My boyfriend and I are going to the Mindless Self Indulgence concert in Atlanta on Wednesday. My friend from Florida was going to be meeting up with us there. We already booked a room at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport and have three concert tickets. However, my friend is probably going to pull out of going so we will have an extra ticket and half a Sheraton room. The room is done and paid for but if you wanna go, and have money for the ticket, you are probably welcome to it. Chipping in for gas money is cool but not required. We have a Neon so it's not bad on gas mileage.Anyway.We'd be leaving Sumter at around 10 or 11 AM on Wednesday, June 21st to check into the Atlanta hotel at around 3 PM. We'd have dinner, relax at the hotel or whatever, and then go to the 6:30 PM show. After the show, we are going back to the airport and sleeping or whatever else we want to do. We are getting up before noon, checking out, and driving home to Sumter.IF YOU WANT TO GO, you have a few days to get to know me. I'm Stephanie. I've lived in Sumter since November. I'm 21. I'm fun but responsible. Justin is 22. Works for Cingular. We have been together for almost five years. We own a home together. Yada yada. A lot of you already might know me.Let me know! I'd hate to waste a ticket and fun experience for some poor Sumter resident. | |

They are sisters/litter-mates and have always been together therefore I am giving them away as a pair. If you want two cats who are very lovable, let me know. Here's some pictures. | |

LOST DOGS--- SUMTER | [12 Jan 2006|10:40pm] |
---|---|
Monday morning the Meter man let my grandmothers dogs out of her fence. She lives in the Pinewood Rd/Cainsmill Rd area. The dogs were a mostly white and black basset hound with brown markings. She is 12 years old and answers to "Jazz"The other dog that MIGHT be with her is a Lab/Walker hound mix that answers to "LT". She is a reddish color and about the size of a small lab. her hair is really short like a lab too.Jazz was last seen around Pond Loop Road/Livingwood Road yesterday afternoonLT we think was spotted around St. Paul Church Rd/Pinewood Rd. (at the "V" in the road) but because there are so many dogs in the area we arent positive it was her.If anyone has any information (seen them, knows anyone that might have them) Please call 316-7481. | |

[ **mood** | calm ] Hi, this is kinda awkward. I am from Biloxi, Mississippi and am moving to Sumter this saturday. I found this community while trying to find out some information on the area.Katrina took my home and both of my jobs so there isn't too much here for me. Decided to stay with some friends that live there and try to start over. Meet some new people and see a bit more of the country. I would really like to chat with someone from the area. Ask some questions about the culture, nightlife, and so on. My contact information is in my User info.Anyway thanks for your time.Jared Breal | |

Everybody come out to the show on Friday, April 15. This will be the last show held at the Sumter Collective. Due to some unforseen problems, we are being forced to shut our doors. Come out to support the bands and to give the crew a pat on te back for all of the hard work and dedication. We would like to thank everyone that had a hand in keeping us up and running for the short time we were operating. We would also like to thank all of the bands that came and shared their music in our area. Don't worry though! The Collective Crew is still going to try to throw shows occationally. As of right now, we don't konw where they will be but keep checking out the site to find the latest news for the music scene in our area. SUPPORT YOUR SCENE!Copied from www.sumtercollective.comSeriously guys, come out. This is really heartbreaking to hear. | |
