Provide information for the Health apps declaration form (original) (raw)

Background

In April 2024, we announced an update to our Health Apps policy that applies to a large number of apps on Google Play. As part of this update, we added new requirements to help promote trust in the Google Play ecosystem by keeping Google Play secure for users.

Under these new requirements, developers must complete the Health apps declaration form on the App contentpage (Policy > App content) in Play Console.

Which developers need to complete the Health apps declaration in Play Console?

All developers that have an app published on Google Play must complete the Health apps declaration, including apps on closed testing, open testing, or production tracks. This also applies to pregranted and preloaded apps that update through Google Play.

Even developers with apps that do not offer any health features must complete this form and certify that no health features are offered through the app.

System services and private apps do not need to complete the Health apps declaration.
